Travelling to the RMA

By Car: Leave the M8 at Junction 27 and turn left onto Arkleston Road, then turn left at the roundabout onto A741 Renfrew Road. Go straight through the next roundabout and follow the road down the hill. Stay in the left lane and continue through three sets of traffic lights, passing under the railway bridge onto the A726 Incle Street. This road turns into the A726 Mill Street. Continue to follow this road and you will come to a large cross junction with the Watermill Hotel on your left hand side. Turn left at that junction onto A726 Lonend, then take the first left onto Thread Street signposted for the Morrisons supermarket. Turn left at the mini roundabout to access the car park.

By train: Paisley Gilmour Street and Canal Street stations are both within walking distance of Thread Street.

Gilmour Street: On leaving Gilmour Street Station exit onto County Square and continue up Gilmour Street towards the town centre. Turn left towards Paisley Town Hall, then turn right onto the pedestrian walkway between the Town Hall and Paisley Abbey. Cross straight over Bridge Street onto the walkway (Renfrewshire Council Headquarters on your left). Cross the 4 lane carriageway Mill Street and continue straight ahead to Thread Street.

Canal Street: Exit the station and turn right, heading down Causeyside Street. Turn right at the cross junction, then turn right again onto Lonend. Turn left onto Thread Street.

Car Parking:  There are visitors spaces at 7 Thread Street and the RMA has a number of reserved parking spaces, however these spaces are limited. Visitors are therefore asked to complete a parking request form in advance (click here for form). Please note the use of numbered parking bays without permission is a fineable offence by the landlord.
